Sankt Hans Hill

Sankt Hans Hill is a recreational park in northern Lund covering about 28 hectares with an 85-meter high summit offering panoramic views across the region. The terrain includes mixed woodland, open meadows, and marked trails that wind through the varied landscape.

The land was once used as pasture for livestock before serving as a waste dump from 1947 to 1954. It was transformed and reopened as a public recreational park during the 1970s.

The park serves as a gathering place for local festivals and community events that draw people together throughout the year. You will find groups using the open spaces for celebrations and social occasions regularly.

You can explore the park on foot with different routes for various fitness levels and interests. The space includes a disc golf course, picnic and barbecue areas, and sledding slopes during winter months.

A well dedicated to Saint John once existed on the eastern slopes but has since disappeared beneath the modern parkland. This hidden historical site connects visitors to an older past that shaped the land.
