Aeroseum, Military aviation museum in Säve, Sweden
The Aeroseum occupies a network of underground tunnels spanning 22,000 square meters beneath a 30-meter-thick rock formation near Gothenburg.
The facility served as a classified Swedish Air Force bunker during the Cold War period, constructed in 1955 to protect military aircraft from potential nuclear strikes.
The museum maintains an extensive collection of Swedish military aircraft, including Draken and Viggen fighters, plus civilian planes and over 20 different helicopters.
Visitors can access flight simulators, explore aircraft cockpits, and participate in educational programs about aviation technology throughout the underground complex.
The subterranean hangar system features U-shaped main tunnels with multiple branches, secured by reinforced gates designed for rapid aircraft deployment.
