NKT Arena Karlskrona, Multi-purpose sports complex in Karlskrona, Sweden.
NKT Arena Karlskrona is a sports complex in Karlskrona, Sweden, built around two separate ice rinks. The main hall is sized for professional hockey, and the building also contains dedicated areas for badminton, tennis, gymnastics, and handball.
The venue opened in 2005 under the name Telenor Arena. The name changed several times over the following years as different companies took on the sponsorship, until NKT gave it its current name.
The arena is home to Karlskrona HK, the local ice hockey team that draws loyal fans from across the region. On match days, the building fills with supporters and the energy inside is noticeably different from a regular training session.
The complex is easy to reach by car and has plenty of parking nearby. Inside, there are several food and drink options so visitors do not need to leave the building during an event.
The complex has a dedicated curling facility, which is rare outside of major Swedish cities. This draws players and teams from a wide area who travel to Karlskrona specifically for the sport.
