Toppeladugård Castle, Renaissance castle in Genarp, Sweden
The two-story main building features symmetrical wings and stands surrounded by grounds that include both garden and parkland elements.
Christina Piper purchased the property in 1720, transforming a simple farm into a castle with a Baroque garden and additional structures.
The castle represents the evolution of Swedish manor architecture, transitioning from Baroque to Renaissance revival styles in the early 20th century.
Toppeladugård Castle remains a private residence, requiring advance arrangements for any potential visits to the historical grounds.
The current Renaissance structure, built between 1918 and 1920, replaced an older three-story building that had fallen into disrepair.
