Landsort 152-mm. Artillery Battery

The fortified artillery installation contains gun positions and underground facilities carved into solid rock formations along the coastline of Landsort.

The battery, constructed in 1938, formed part of Stockholm's expanded defense network, protecting maritime routes to Nynäshamn and Södertälje ports.

The military complex represents Swedish defense architecture of the 1930s, demonstrating the nation's commitment to protecting its territorial waters.

Guided tours through the battery complex allow visitors to examine the artillery positions, ammunition storage areas, and command centers within the fortification.

The battery's gun positions maintained a strategic firing range of 13 kilometers, enabling control over critical shipping lanes in the Stockholm archipelago.
