Military Preparedness Museum

The Military Preparedness Museum is located on a former coastal defense site with underground bunkers and gun emplacements. The exhibition contains an extensive collection of military equipment and historical vehicles from different periods.

The facility was built in 1940 to defend Sweden's coast during World War II. The restored 15.2 cm cannon named Maja stands as a symbol of this defense period.

The site displays military uniforms and weapons spanning different periods of Swedish military history. You can observe how soldiers' equipment and clothing evolved over the centuries.

The museum grounds are walkable with paved paths connecting different exhibition areas and bunkers. You should wear sturdy shoes since some sections may vary in accessibility depending on the season.

The command center houses Sweden's largest collection of military vehicles and weapons, including a replica of the country's largest mobile artillery. In the underground rooms, visitors can experience the confined conditions under which soldiers worked during wartime.
