Boulognerskogen

The forest extends from the railway in the west to the old hospital in the east, containing both beech woods and tall pine forests throughout its grounds.

The area, formerly known as Priest's Sheep Pasture, was transformed into Skövde's city park in 1875, named after the Bois de Boulogne in Paris.

The park grounds host numerous seasonal events, including outdoor concerts, spring bonfires, and midsummer celebrations that bring the community together throughout the year.

Located near the central station and University of Skövde, the park features illuminated walking paths, benches, a playground, and a lake with swimming facilities.

Every year, athletes participate in a six-hour ultra-marathon event, running continuous laps on a 1200-meter circuit within the park boundaries.
