Chalmers kårhus, Student union building at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The 11,000-square-meter facility contains a swimming pool, gym hall, restaurants, conference center, pubs, sauna, and movie theater for student activities.
The first student union building, called Lopphuset, opened in 1944 and served as a party venue after being used for furniture insect removal.
The current building, designed by architect Gert Wingårdh and completed in 2001, received the prestigious Kasper Salin Prize from Sweden's Architects.
Students with membership gain free access to various facilities including study areas, meeting rooms, swimming pool, and yoga classes in the gym hall.
The structure stands as the largest student-owned building in Sweden, featuring the underground nightclub Gasquen that continues operations since its early days.
