Frimurarelogen, Örebro, Masonic lodge building in central Örebro, Sweden
Frimurarelogen is a building situated on an island in the Svartån river in Örebro. The structure dates from the 19th century and features classical facades and interior spaces used for both Masonic assemblies and public events such as banquets and dance gatherings.
The Masonic lodge was founded in 1883 when the Order acquired the island, with the building completed the following year. This establishment marked the beginning of a permanent institutional presence in Örebro.
The building was constructed by the Freemasons and continues to house their lodges and assemblies today. The rooms reflect the traditions of this community, which has held its rituals and meetings here for more than 140 years.
The building is open to visitors and contains a restaurant with dancing facilities along with banquet halls for various events. It is helpful to check in advance which areas are publicly available, as some spaces are reserved for Masonic activities.
The property management company Byggnads AB Engelbrekt is one of Sweden's oldest still-operating companies. This organization has ensured the maintenance and stewardship of this location for many decades.
