Galleri Astley, Art gallery and sculpture park in Uttersberg, Sweden
Galleri Astley combines an 1897 railway station building with a restored brick granary in a single exhibition complex. Outdoor exhibition areas between the buildings connect the spaces and display additional artworks.
An artist named Astley Nyhlén founded the collection in 1968 in Köping and relocated it to a new location years later. The former railway station in Uttersberg then became home to the art space.
The gallery displays works by Swedish and international artists working across multiple techniques and mediums. It presents ten to twelve new exhibitions each year, drawing visitors at different times.
The site opens Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Entry to all exhibitions and outdoor areas is free.
A dedicated section called the Tree of Life displays permanent works by the artist Ernst Neizvestny. A bronze sculpture honoring human rights activist Raoul Wallenberg also stands in this area.
