Helsingborgs Konserthus

Helsingborg Concert Hall is a performance venue with two auditoriums of different sizes for music and theater. The larger hall holds about 840 seats, while the smaller one seats around 240 guests.

Architect Sven Markelius designed this building in 1932 in the functionalist style, making it an early example of modern architecture in Sweden. It was built during a period of major architectural innovation in the country.

The local symphony orchestra presents regular performances here, and visitors gather in the foyers during intermissions to socialize and discuss the music. The halls serve as a social hub for the city's cultural life.

The building is easily accessible and has a bar and café for visitors. Arriving early allows time to explore the foyers and admire the architecture before events begin.

The grand staircase hall design was inspired by the Paris Opera and creates elegant spaces for lingering and observing. These architectural details make a visit rewarding even outside of performances.
