Husby-Ärlinghundra Church

The church features a distinct eastern tower design with a rounded spire that extends over the choir and altar sections of the building.

Construction of the stone structure began in the 1150s, with the tower, choir, and one-third of the nave remaining from this original medieval building.

Medieval sculptures inside include a 13th-century figure of St Michael defeating a dragon and 14th-century depictions of Mary and John near the cross.

The church grounds contain Märsta Parish's main cemetery, which includes dedicated areas for Muslim burials, a memorial grove, and ash interment spaces.

This religious building stands as one of only four eastern tower churches in the Uppland region, characterized by its tower position at the eastern end.
