Tranarpsbron, Highway bridge near Östra Ljungby, Sweden.
Tranarpsbron is a highway bridge crossing the Rönne å valley with two parallel roadways carrying the E4 motorway. The structure spans roughly 550 meters and handles north-south traffic through four lanes across the river gorge.
Construction started in 1994 and finished in 1996, replacing an earlier crossing that had become inadequate. The bridge transformed traffic flow through northwestern Skåne and became a key infrastructure link on the E4 route.
The bridge represents Swedish engineering excellence in transportation infrastructure, connecting communities across the Rönne å valley in Klippan municipality.
The speed limit is 110 kilometers per hour (68 mph), and the bridge carries substantial daily traffic from both directions. Exercise caution during icy or foggy weather, as these conditions can make the crossing treacherous.
In January 2013, a major incident involving about 84 vehicles occurred on the bridge during severe frost and fog. The event became a stark reminder of weather hazards that can strike suddenly on this busy route.
