The Vara Concert Hall features two performance spaces: a main auditorium with 517 seats and a smaller hall accommodating 67 spectators.
Architect Blake J McConahy designed this cultural center, which opened its doors to the public in September 2003 in Västra Götaland County.
The venue presents 200 annual performances spanning classical music, jazz, dance, theater productions, pop concerts, and stand-up comedy shows.
Located at Allégatan 49, the concert hall contains a restaurant serving local dishes, from buffets to sandwiches, with options before shows and during intervals.
The Bohuslän Big Band, originating from a military orchestra of the 1800s, maintains its permanent residence at Vara Concert Hall since 2004.
