Wästerlunds konditori, Heritage bakery and café in Lunde, Sweden.
Wästerlunds konditori is a two-story building at the southern end of Sandöbron bridge in Lunde that operates as a bakery and café. The establishment has indoor seating for around 30 guests and outdoor space accommodating around 60 people.
The konditori was established in January 1946 and later designated as a protected building complex. Its 1950s architecture has been preserved as part of the cultural heritage of the Höga Kusten region.
The café keeps alive the tradition of Swedish fika culture by serving homemade pastries and coffee in a setting that has changed little since the 1950s. Guests experience how people gathered and took breaks together in that era, a practice that remains central to daily life here.
The café operates seasonally from mid-May through November 13, with daily hours from 11:00 to 19:00. Free parking is available near the building for visitors.
This is one of the few preserved 1950s establishments along the Höga Kusten coast that still functions in its original way. Finding a place where both the design and the daily use have remained unchanged over decades is quite rare in this region.
