Änggårdsbergen

Änggårdsbergen is a 320-hectare nature reserve near Gothenburg featuring valleys, ridges, lakes, and diverse forests in a continuous landscape. The protected area south of the city center offers multiple walking and cycling routes through its varied terrain.

The reserve contains Bronze Age burial sites, including a grave on an elevated ridge with views toward the sea and Vinga Fyr lighthouse. These archaeological remains show the area's long history of human habitation.

The landscape displays typical West Swedish characteristics with heathlands and natural water formations that reflect the regional environment. Visitors can observe these distinctive habitats while exploring the reserve.

The reserve is accessible via multiple walking and cycling routes, with cyclists required to stay on designated marked trails. The paths are well maintained and offer varying difficulty levels for different visitors.

Finns Mosse moor lake within the reserve attracts biologists and ornithologists observing local bird species and other wildlife. This water body serves as a focal point for nature observation and scientific interest.
