Slovenska Bistrica Castle, Renaissance castle in Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenia.
The castle features a trapezoidal layout with four corner turrets and an arcaded inner courtyard surrounded by Renaissance-style wings from the 17th century.
First documented in 1265, the castle passed through multiple noble families including the Habsburgs, Count Meinhard of Gorizia, and the Attems who held it until 1945.
The Knights Hall contains extensive frescoes depicting the Apotheosis of Hercules, while the chapel showcases Franz Ignaty Flurer's Baroque paintings from 1721.
The Cultural Institute of Slovenska Bistrica manages the castle, which houses a museum collection and regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts, and community events.
The castle grounds include an English-style park with remnants of a 16th-century French geometric garden design and sections of the original city fortification walls.
