Dol Mansion, Manor house in Dol pri Ljubljani, Slovenia.
Dol Mansion is a stone building situated in the southeast section of Dol pri Ljubljana settlement, positioned near where the Kamnik Bistrica and Sava rivers meet. The structure sits on elevated ground and was once surrounded by garden spaces and rooms displaying collections.
The building was constructed in 1540 after Alexander Gallenberg departed Osterberg Castle and established himself here. It was destroyed by fire in 1944 during World War II.
The place is named after the nearby village and served as a center for collectors and scholars. It attracted visitors interested in natural science and art during the 1800s.
The site is accessible from the road connecting Šentjakob ob Savi to Litija and lies at about 271 meters elevation. Access is straightforward for visitors exploring the area on foot.
The grounds held one of Carniola's largest private collections, with thousands of plant species in a botanical garden. Josef Kalasanz von Erberg converted the rooms into exhibition spaces after 1808, displaying natural history, technology, and artworks.
