Krumperk Castle, Renaissance castle in Gorjuša near Domžale, Slovenia
The castle features a square ground plan with towers at each corner, representing typical Renaissance architecture from the 16th century period.
The noble Rabensberg family constructed the initial castle in the 13th century, while the Rauber family rebuilt the current structure in 1580.
The Krumperk Equestrian Club maintains the castle grounds and organizes regular events in the surrounding meadow throughout the year.
Located just 10 minutes from Ljubljana, visitors can find parking facilities in front of the castle entrance for easy access.
The castle grounds were transformed into a sanatorium for military officers after World War II before being divided into apartment housing in 1953.
