Pilsko, Mountain peak at Polish-Slovak border

Pilsko reaches an elevation of 1,557 meters and features a large dome surrounded by forests of dwarf pines on its upper slopes.

The mountain's name first appeared in 1721 in Historia naturalis curiosa Regni Poloniae, with Gabriel Rzączyński documented as the first climber.

The Slovak side contains a field altar where every July, a parish priest from Mutne village conducts a religious mass for local residents.

Visitors can access the mountain through the town of Korbielów, with marked hiking trails leading to the PTTK mountain hut at 1,330 meters.

The northeastern slope features a memorial cross for Corporal Franciszek Basik, among the first casualties of the 1939 German invasion of Poland.
