Levočský dom, Historic site in Košice, Slovakia

The Levoča House stands as a large Renaissance building on Main Street 65 in the historical center of Košice, featuring stylized arcades in its courtyard.

Alexander Thurzo, a wealthy merchant, left the building to the town of Levoča in 1542, leading to its transformation into an inn by the city of Košice in 1569.

The building hosted the marriage ceremony of Gabriel Bethlen and Catherine Brandenburg in 1626, with delegates from European monarchies attending the grand celebration.

The structure connects to adjacent buildings and maintains its function as a dining establishment, continuing the tradition that started in the 16th century.

In 1617, the building housed the first print shop in Košice, operated by John Festh, marking the beginning of printing activities in the city.
