Múzeum oravskej dediny

The museum spans 20 hectares with more than 50 traditional buildings arranged in distinct sections representing different regions of the Orava territory.

Since its opening in 1975, the museum has preserved authentic structures from surrounding villages, including a Gothic wooden church from the 15th century.

Inside the buildings, visitors discover agricultural tools, household items, and craft workshops that illustrate the daily routines of past Orava inhabitants.

The museum operates Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 to 15:30 during winter months, with extended hours from June through September.

A stream called Studený potok runs through the center, powering traditional mechanisms like the water mill, sawmill, and fulling mill.
