Tomášov manor house, Manor house in Senec District, Slovakia.
Tomášov manor house is a three-winged building complex with a central courtyard, situated on the Majorháza elevation and displaying symmetrical Austrian baroque design. The wings frame an open court space, creating an enclosed compound with proportional facades.
Baron Ján Jesenák built this manor between 1766 and 1769 as an aristocratic residence. During World War I, the building later served as a military hospital, changing its purpose significantly.
The manor displays art deco furnishings inside, showing how artistic tastes changed across different periods in Slovak history. These decorative choices reveal the preferences of those who lived there over the centuries.
The manor was converted into Art Hotel Kastieľ after extensive renovations in 2011 and now offers accommodation. Visitors should check ahead since it operates as a hotel rather than as a public museum or heritage site.
A chapel dedicated to the Guardian Angel was added to the eastern wing in 1900. This addition was directed by Klementína Vay and represents a religious element added later to the estate.
