Hájny Grúň

Hájny Grúň rises to 1,207.7 meters within the Poľana mountain range, featuring forested slopes and connecting to neighboring peaks through a natural ridge system.

The mountain stands as part of an ancient stratovolcano caldera that has shaped the regional geology through millions of years of natural processes.

Local mountaineering groups maintain several marked trails across Hájny Grúň, preserving traditional hiking routes for generations of outdoor enthusiasts.

Visitors can access the summit through multiple marked paths, including routes from Detva through Poľana and Jasenová saddle, or starting points in Strelníky.

The peak's position allows water drainage into the Hron River basin through various streams, including Hutná on the western slopes and Osrblianka on the east.
