Hájny Grúň

Hajny Grun is a mountain reaching approximately 1,208 meters (3,963 feet) in the Polana mountain range. Its forested slopes connect naturally to neighboring peaks through a ridge system.

The mountain is part of an ancient stratovolcano whose geological origins shaped the landscape over millions of years. This volcanic heritage influences the terrain visitors encounter today.

The mountain draws hikers and climbers from the region who follow established routes up its slopes. These trails represent a long tradition of outdoor recreation in the Poľana massif.

The summit can be reached via several marked trails starting from different locations such as Detva or Strelníky. Trail difficulty and duration vary depending on which starting point you choose.

Water from the slopes drains into the Hron River basin through different streams on either side. The western streams flow differently than those on the eastern slopes.
