Lužný most, Highway bridge in eastern Bratislava, Slovakia
The Lužný Most spans 3000 meters across the Danube River with a width of 35 meters and a main span of 170 meters.
The construction of this concrete bridge started in 2018 using sliding formwork technology and opened for traffic in September 2021.
Through a public poll conducted by the Ministry of Transport in 2020, citizens selected the name Lužný Most to reflect the nearby riparian forests.
The bridge forms an essential part of the D4 motorway bypass, connecting multiple sections of Bratislava and reducing traffic congestion in the city center.
With its length of nearly three kilometers, the Lužný Most stands as the longest highway bridge in Slovakia, covering an area of 100,000 square meters.
