Čajka, kúpalisko v Bojniciach
Čajka is a planned water center in Prievidza that will feature indoor and outdoor pools along with wellness facilities. The facility will be located on Ulica olympionikov near a sports hall and ice rink, with multiple pools designed for swimming competitions, recreation, and leisure activities.
For many years, Prievidza relied on an older swimming pool on Pily hill that no longer met public and sports club needs. The planned center is a response to decades of local requests for year-round water recreation and competitive swimming facilities.
The center will be part of a sports complex with easy connections to other facilities, parking, and pedestrian paths throughout the area. Note that while the facility is designed for year-round use, outdoor swimming areas will likely be seasonal and limited to warmer months.
The project plans to use waste heat from nearby infrastructure to reduce energy costs and environmental impact during operation. This approach demonstrates a commitment to making the facility both economical and ecologically responsible.
