Chai Nat Bird Park, Bird sanctuary and provincial park in Chai Nat, Thailand.
Chai Nat Bird Park is a bird sanctuary located in Chai Nat province that houses more than 100 species in specially designed enclosures. The 63 separate sections recreate natural habitats, and the park also contains an aquarium featuring freshwater fish species native to the Chao Phraya River.
The park was founded in 1983 as a small conservation project on limited land. Over the decades it expanded significantly and developed into a major center for bird protection and research in the region.
Inside the park stands a Bird Egg Museum that displays eggs collected from species around the world, showing visitors how eggs vary greatly among different birds. This collection helps people learn about the incredible range of bird life across the globe.
The park offers walking paths, viewing areas, and rest spots distributed throughout the grounds for comfortable exploration. Plan to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the tropical climate can be quite hot during the day.
The park is home to Asia's largest flight structure, where rare and impressive species like Sarus Cranes, Green Peafowls, Eagles, and Falcons are housed together. This massive enclosed space allows the birds to fly and move in ways not possible in standard cages.
