Ko Lanta

Ko Lanta spans 25 kilometers in length and features a central mountain range with nine distinct beaches along its western coastline.

The district of Ko Lanta was formally established in December 1901, encompassing four island groups: Mu Ko Lanta, Mu Ko Klang, Mu Ko Rok, and Mu Ko Ngai.

The population of Ko Lanta includes multiple ethnic groups, with rural areas predominantly following Islam and residents speaking the Southern Thai dialect.

Visitors can reach Ko Lanta through ferry services from Krabi, Phuket, and Phi Phi Islands, docking at the main port of Ban Saladan.

The Siri Lanta Bridge, completed in 2016, connects Ko Lanta Noi to Ko Lanta Yai, marking the first permanent link between these principal islands.
