Mae Tho National Park

Mae Tho National Park encompasses 990 square kilometers of mixed deciduous forests and mountain ranges reaching elevations between 400 to 1,699 meters above sea level.

The Royal Forest Department rehabilitated the land after local communities reclaimed it, establishing protected zones for wildlife conservation and environmental preservation.

Karen and Hmong communities near the park maintain traditional agricultural practices through the Mae Tho Royal Project, transitioning from previous farming methods to sustainable crops.

The park features multiple hiking trails, waterfalls such as Mae Aep and Mae Lit, and camping areas with basic facilities including toilets and bathrooms.

From Mae Tho View Point, visitors can observe rice terraces cultivated by hill tribes that create patterns resembling flowing rivers in the valley below.
