Thailand Science Park, Scientific research complex in Pathum Thani Province, Thailand
Thailand Science Park is a research campus in Pathum Thani Province, north of Bangkok, made up of several buildings housing laboratories, offices, and facilities for technology development. A residence hall, conference rooms, and on-site banking services support the day-to-day needs of the organizations based there.
The campus was founded in 2002 by the National Science and Technology Development Agency as part of a national effort to build stronger research capacity. Over the following years, the number of resident organizations grew steadily, turning the site into a center for scientific collaboration in Thailand.
Researchers from fields as different as biotechnology and nanotechnology share the same campus, often crossing paths in common areas and food courts. This daily proximity between disciplines shapes the way people here work and interact.
The campus is north of Bangkok and easiest to reach by car, as public transport connections to this area are limited. Once on site, plan extra time to walk between buildings, as the grounds are spread across a large area.
Organizations based here can apply for special investment benefits through the Thailand Board of Investment, a privilege not available at every research site in the country. This makes the campus a practical choice for international teams looking for government-backed support when setting up in Thailand.
