Wat Worachettaram

Wat Worachettaram is a temple ruin located in Ban Pom within Ayutthaya Historical Park in Thailand. The remains feature red-brick walls, foundations, and several chedis that outline the original layout of this Buddhist sanctuary.

The temple originated during the Ayutthaya Kingdom when the region served as a major Buddhist center. Its structures fell into ruin in 1767 when Burmese forces attacked and destroyed much of the ancient capital.

The site reveals how Buddhist communities arranged and maintained their sacred spaces during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. The red-brick walls and surviving chedis show what mattered most to the people who worshipped here.

The site sits within Ayutthaya Historical Park and is accessible through the main entrance, with parking available nearby. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and bring sun protection since the ruins are mostly exposed foundations and low walls.

The brick walls bear traces of ancient techniques that craftsmen used to achieve precision in their work. These details allow modern archaeology to understand the construction methods and skill of the original builders.
