Phra Nang Klao Bridge, Transport bridge in Samut Sakhon, Thailand
Phra Nang Klao Bridge is a transport structure spanning about 700 meters across the water in Samut Sakhon. It rests on concrete pillars and features a walking surface covered with red painted wooden planks.
The bridge was built about 6 years ago by the Department of Public Works and Town Planning of Samut Sakhon Province. It was created to improve local transportation infrastructure and connections in the area.
The bridge connects to the traditional fishing communities of Ban Daeng village, where residents maintain their maritime heritage through sustainable practices.
Motorcycles are not allowed on this bridge, so it is only for pedestrians and smaller vehicles. You can reach it via Bang Khun Thian-Chai Talay Road, located about 3 kilometers from the dolphin viewing point.
Between November and January, this bridge serves as a viewing point for dolphins that migrate into the Gulf of Thailand during the cool season. This makes it a natural window into the marine life of the region.
