Karon Beach

Karon Beach is a sandy coastline along the Andaman Sea in Phuket with a gentle curve that stretches along the shore. Tall palm trees provide natural shade across the beach where swimmers and sunbathers spend their time.

Development of the beach began in the 1980s when Phuket emerged as an international destination in Southeast Asia. Since then, the area transformed from a quiet coastal zone into a popular gathering place for visitors.

You can reach the beach through several entry points along the beachfront road, with parking areas and facilities positioned near Temple Road. The layout makes a visit straightforward no matter what time of day you arrive.

The sand produces a squeaking sound when you walk on it, caused by the dense packing of quartz particles. This overlooked feature becomes a noticeable sensation the moment your feet touch the ground.
