Wat Choeng Len

Wat Choeng Len is a Buddhist temple in Tha It situated close to the Tha Chin River. The modern Ubosot features a white exterior decorated with detailed ceramic ornaments and sculptural elements across its walls.

This temple was founded in the early 1800s and houses a sacred Buddha statue called Luang Po Kaeo with a history spanning about 3 centuries. The statue predates the temple structure by roughly two generations.

The interior walls display finely carved stucco reliefs showing Buddha and important moments from his teachings. These scenes shape how visitors experience and understand the spiritual meaning of this place.

The temple grounds are straightforward to navigate and host several restaurants serving local food. Visitors can explore the site easily at their own pace without complicated orientation.

The main hall contains a Buddha statue in a special hand gesture known as Bhûmisparsha-Mudrà, representing the moment of enlightenment. This figure serves as the focal point of the temple's spatial composition.
