Kasserine Governorate

Kasserine Governorate is an administrative region in central Tunisia that spans mountainous and agricultural land. It comprises 13 districts and borders Algeria to the west.

The region was established as an administrative area in 1956 and contains ancient Roman remains like Sbeitla and Haidra. These archaeological sites date back to when Rome controlled North Africa.
