City of Culture

City of Culture is a large cultural complex in central Tunis with several modern buildings designed for different art forms. It provides spaces for theater, cinema, exhibitions, and artistic production all in one location.

The project was planned in the early 2000s and developed into a major cultural institution for the city. More than a decade and a half later, it was opened to the public.

The center serves as a gathering place for artists and visitors from across the region, hosting local and international events throughout the year. People come here to watch performances, explore exhibitions, and take part in cultural activities.

The center is located in the heart of the city and is easy to reach from various neighborhoods. Visitors will find comprehensive facilities including parking areas, restaurants, and other amenities for a comfortable visit.

The site houses a special artist residency program where creators can work and stay for limited periods. Additionally, there is a media library that documents current debates and discourse.
