Ödemiş

Ödemiş is an administrative district in İzmir Province in western Turkey, located southeast of İzmir city. The region encompasses numerous villages and settlements spread across a large rural area.

The region was part of the Aydın Vilayet during the Ottoman Empire and was reorganized after the founding of modern Turkey in the early 20th century. This administrative restructuring shaped the area's current structure.

The district contains the historic town of Birgi with remarkable buildings such as Çakırağa Mansion and İmam-i Birgivi Medrese. These structures reflect traditional local architecture and draw visitors interested in historical buildings.
