Dingxi Station, Taipei Metro Zhonghe-Xinlu line station
Dingxi Station is an underground metro station in Yonghe District on the Orange Line with code O04. It features an island platform with two exits: Exit 1 leads to Yonghe Road and Zhongxing Street, while Exit 2 goes to Wenhua Road and nearby residential neighborhoods.
The station opened in the late 1990s to provide easy access to various parts of New Taipei. Over the years, improvements such as elevator installations have been made to ensure accessibility for all passengers.
The name Dingxi reflects the station's role as a central meeting point in Yonghe. It serves residents as a social hub where people gather before heading to meals or local events, and where daily neighborhood rhythms become visible to those passing through.
The station has ticket machines, information counters, and restrooms on the south side outside the fare area to help travelers plan their journeys. During morning and evening rush hours it becomes busier, while at other times the station feels more relaxed.
The station is surrounded by popular local activities including visits to Lehua Night Market for evening food stalls and bike rental stations nearby that allow people to explore the area at their own pace.
