Miaoli City

Miaoli City is an administrative center in western Taiwan positioned between larger administrative areas and serving as the governmental seat. The city combines residential neighborhoods, commercial zones, and public spaces within a relatively compact layout.

The city's name originated from Hakka language terms that phonetically resembled indigenous words from earlier inhabitants. This designation was standardized in the 19th century and has defined the place ever since.
