Dakeng Scenic Area

Dakeng Scenic Area is a mountain hiking destination above Taichung featuring ten numbered trails with wooden steps throughout. The routes climb to elevations of about 800 meters, with different paths serving various difficulty levels and distances.

Natural mountain paths were organized into a numbered system and equipped with wooden steps to improve access. This development transformed the area into an established recreation destination near the city.

Trail number 5 connects the highest ridgelines with four main routes, serving as a central hub within the path network. This connecting role makes it a natural meeting point where many hikers pass through during their visits.
