Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum, Hakka heritage museum in Meinong District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan
The Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum spans two floors, incorporating design elements from tobacco curing sheds and traditional trilateral courtyard houses in its architecture.
The museum opened on April 28, 2001, with President Chen Shui-bian emphasizing the preservation of Hakka heritage during the inaugural ceremony.
The exhibitions showcase traditional tools, artifacts, and displays that demonstrate the daily practices and lifestyle of the Hakka community in Taiwan.
Located at 49-3 Minzu Road, the museum operates from Thursday to Sunday between 09:00 and 17:00, remaining closed on Mondays and during Chinese New Year.
The upper floor contains a dedicated section highlighting Hakka artists and musicians, including the works of singer-songwriter Lin Sheng-xiang.
