Pingtung Park

Pingtung Park is a green space in Pingtung City with walking paths, traditional Chinese bridges, and various areas for relaxation. The grounds include sports facilities, a running track, and a gymnasium along with multiple play areas for children.

The park was founded in 1915 during Japanese rule and was originally called Ahou Park. It was renamed Zhongshan Park in 1945 and received its current name in 2016.

Several memorials within the park mark important moments in Taiwan's history and serve as quiet places for local visitors to reflect. They document events that shaped the island's modern path.

The location is free to visit year-round and offers various paths to explore on foot. Visitors can use the sports facilities or simply stroll on the bridges and green areas.

During the Christmas season, the park transforms into a festive village with artificial snow and holiday decorations. This seasonal change draws visitors from across the island.
