The Museum of Ukrainian Home Icons displays over 5,000 religious artifacts across 12 exhibition halls within the stone walls of Radomysl Castle.
The museum collection began in 1996 when Doctor Olha Bohomolets started gathering icons from various Ukrainian regions to prevent their destruction.
The collection includes folk icons that differ from traditional Byzantine style, featuring regional interpretations and local artistic elements from across Ukraine.
Visitors can participate in guided tours, attend paper-making demonstrations from the 17th century, and explore the castle grounds throughout the year.
The museum contains a stone-carved icon of St. Nicholas from the 12th century, representing the oldest piece in the extensive collection.
