The National Historical Museum of Ukraine displays artifacts across 24 exhibition halls, including archaeological findings, manuscripts, and numismatic collections spanning multiple centuries.
Founded in 1899 as the Kyiv City Museum of Antiquities and Art, the institution received its current name following Ukraine's independence in 1991.
The museum contains 800,000 items representing Ukrainian heritage, from ancient times to modern days, including weapons, paintings, and ethnographic materials.
Located at 2 Volodymyrska Street, the museum opens Thursday through Sunday with guided tours available in English at 300 hryvnias per group.
The museum maintains a dedicated branch called the Museum of Historical Treasures containing jewelry and precious metal artifacts from different periods.
