The church features two slender towers with pointed spires, large stained glass windows, and detailed stone carvings on its brick exterior walls.
Construction of the church began in 1899 under architect Władysław Horodecki to serve the growing Polish Catholic community in Kyiv.
The building now functions as the National House of Organ and Chamber Music while maintaining its role as an active Catholic church.
Religious services are held daily in Ukrainian, Polish, Latin, and Spanish, with priests from the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate leading ceremonies.
The cathedral incorporates decorative griffons and small lizard sculptures into its architecture, reflecting Horodecki's distinctive design approach.
