Zolochiv Castle, Renaissance castle in Zolochiv, Ukraine

The rectangular fortress features four pentagonal towers at each corner and includes two main buildings: the Grand Palace and Chinese Palace.

Built between 1634 and 1636 by Jakub Sobieski, the castle withstood multiple sieges from Ottoman forces during the late 17th century.

The castle exhibits European coats of arms, medieval furniture collections, and paintings that reflect the architectural preferences of Polish nobility.

Visitors can reach the castle by regular bus service from Lviv, with journeys taking approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

The Chinese Palace, a mauve-colored rotunda with single-story wings, stands as an unusual architectural addition to the main Renaissance structure.
