Space Research and Communication Center, مقراب راديوي في أوكرانيا
The Space Research and Communication Center is a ground station with radio telescopes located in Zolochiv Raion. It features a main dish antenna measuring 25 meters in diameter, alongside a secondary structure 32 meters wide, designed to receive radio signals from space and communicate with orbiting satellites for research purposes.
The facility was put into operation following upgrades and is part of Ukraine's space activities. Previously, the station helped track satellites and spacecraft while supporting researchers in observing cosmic phenomena including galaxy emissions and radio signals from distant space objects.
The site is located in a rural area surrounded by open fields and operates effectively in various weather conditions, with clear skies providing optimal conditions for signal reception. Keep in mind this is an active research facility where scientists and engineers regularly perform maintenance and testing work throughout the day.
The center has recently developed automatic correction systems that improve telescope alignment precision and reduce tracking errors when following satellites. This technology allows the observatory to detect distant galaxy emissions and rare radio phenomena with significantly improved accuracy.
