Podilskyi Zoo

Podilskyi Zoo is a facility spreading across 8 hectares with enclosures designed for different animal species, children's play areas, and decorative sculptures scattered throughout the grounds. The location allows visitors to spend several hours exploring the animals and the park layout.

This facility developed in 2005 from a former zoological breeding ground for game animals and ranks among the newer zoos in Ukraine. This origin shows a shift away from specialized animal production toward public visitor experience.

The zoo maintains educational programs connecting local schools with wildlife conservation efforts while promoting environmental awareness through interactive exhibits and presentations.

The site is accessible year-round with changing hours based on the season, with longer opening periods in summer and shorter ones in winter. It is helpful to prepare your visit timing based on the time of year and allow enough hours on-site.

A specially built bear enclosure from 2018 features glass panels, swimming pools, and temperature control to support animal welfare. This construction stands apart from older-style enclosures found in many other facilities.
