Buscheweer Siedlung, Iron Age hillfort in Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine.
The fortified settlement measures 31 hectares with earth ramparts forming defensive barriers along its perimeter near present-day Bucha village.
The settlement existed between the 7th and 5th centuries BC, during the Scythian period, when nomadic tribes established permanent defensive structures.
Archaeological excavations at the site uncovered numerous artifacts including pottery and metal tools, indicating trade connections with Greek colonies.
The hillfort location provided natural protection through elevated terrain while maintaining access to agricultural lands for food production.
Interior structures concentrated near the ramparts left the central area open, suggesting a planned layout that balanced defense with agricultural needs.
