National Literary Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda

The National Literary Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda contains over 2,000 exhibits including artworks, archaeological findings, sculptures, and historical artifacts within an 18th-century building.

Founded in 1972 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Hryhorii Skovoroda's birth, the museum operated until May 2022 when Russian artillery fire destroyed the structure.

The museum preserves the legacy of Hryhorii Skovoroda, a Ukrainian philosopher who explored themes of human existence through his writings and teachings about morality.

The museum provides virtual tours for remote access to its collections, allowing visitors worldwide to explore the exhibits and learn about Ukrainian philosophical heritage.

The building served as the final residence of Hryhorii Skovoroda, where he spent his last years surrounded by his Bible and written works.
